Soul Treats! - Soul music blog by Soulville UA

What it is.

Soultreats is Soulville U-A´s music blog. It´s updated several times a week with a new soulful record. It is our chance to spotlight the artists and record labels that made the music but rarely the charts.
It´s a celebration!

The legacy.
If you are, know or have any information about the artists, labels or musicians etc. that are mentioned in these pages, please share it with us by sending an email to:

Do not use the comment button for this since there is no way for me, for now, to know which additions have been commented on. Help us be as detailed as we possibly can in our description of this wonderful music.

Thanks in advance.

Lorraine Rudolph - Keep Coming Back For More - Jetstream

60s SoulPosted by Martin Mon, March 30, 2009 05:56:49

Welcome to another week of Soultreats!

We´ll start off this week with this wonderful crossover record that sadly only is "crossover" when it comes to talking about music genres, it never crossed over to any pop charts, pretty far from it actually. Lorraine Rudolph sang backup on some of the early Motown recordings but never got the chance to headline any of the records on that mighty label, which could have changed her life in a lot of ways. Instead she got on a Greyhound bus to Washington to be with her sister. Read the full story here.
She did leave us this to remember her by though, a wonderful track with Lorraine´s pleading vocals showing all those at Motown that she deserved to get a shot a stardom as much as anyone.
