Soul Treats! - Soul music blog by Soulville UA

What it is.

Soultreats is Soulville U-A´s music blog. It´s updated several times a week with a new soulful record. It is our chance to spotlight the artists and record labels that made the music but rarely the charts.
It´s a celebration!

The legacy.
If you are, know or have any information about the artists, labels or musicians etc. that are mentioned in these pages, please share it with us by sending an email to:

Do not use the comment button for this since there is no way for me, for now, to know which additions have been commented on. Help us be as detailed as we possibly can in our description of this wonderful music.

Thanks in advance.

The Invincibles - Can´t No One Man - Ciray

60s SoulPosted by Martin Fri, March 20, 2009 05:49:38

Thought we´d finish this weeks treat with a record that is currently being spun in the northern soul clubs in the U.K. The Invincibles were Lester Johnson, David Richardson and Clifton Knight. The group signed to Warner Brothers in 1964 and had releases both on that label and its R&B imprint Loma in the mid 1960s. This track was written by the group themselves and was released right after their W.B. connection had ended in 1967. The other side of the single "Wonders Of Love" is also a great track and was re-released on Fros-Ray records in 1971. However, to get this little stormer that we´ve featured today you need to find a copy on Ciray as the track is yet to be reissued on either vinyl or CD. That is until today then!

Have a great weekend!

"Can´t No One Man"
